Everyone like to have something special in food on holiday. Here you go for Himachali style rajmah chawal




Welcome to #Himachali #Khana

Its very simple and healthy dish. And majority of people like its taste. Rajamah comes in many colours but brownish coloured Rajmah tastes nice. And Rajmah Chawal is best combination for taste.

Here You Go For Preparation:

1. Take one bowl of Rajmah and soak it overnight

2. Pour overnight soaked Rajmah in pressure cooker and wait for one whistle

3. Then sim the gas stove and let Rajmah get cook for 30 minutes

4.If you want more taste then Chop one tomato and onion and mix it with Rajmah before start boiling.

5. After 30 minutes close the Gas stove and don't remove the steam from pressure cooker.

6. Mean time you can grind the 2 tomatoes and big onioin seprately

7. Then take some amount of boiled Rajmah from cooker and mesh them to make paste kind

8. Then heat the mustard oil in pan to smoke, then sim the gas.

9. Then in heated oil put chopped garlic (4-5) and granddad ginder

10. Now put methi seeds and Heeng (asafoetida) in the heated oil, immediately put granddad onioins so that it wil not burn

12. After 1-2 minutes pour tomato paste you prepared. Then cook it for 2-3 minutes

13. Then pour Rajmah paste and cook for 1-2 minutes

14. Then pour remaining Rajmah and cook for 2-3 minutes on high flame while moving it.

15 Then mix hot water as much you want gravy thickness

16 Cook it for -10 minutes and Rajmah Ready, You can garnish with Coriander leaves.


Note: For enhancing the taste, you can mix pinch of nutmeg powder, and cinnamon powder and 1/4th of jeggery powder.
